Signboard explanation of Totem Poles , Scared Poles. 石长胜,石力台。
[ The totem pole,so-called Jang-Seung functions a guardian diety, Demarcation post & milestone of the village or buddhist Temple, which is a scared object wishing for protecting from evil spirits, obtaining abundant harvests & being in good health of the itinerary people. The scared pole, so -called Sot - Tae function a communication channel between the god & prayers , which is also a divine object praying for having bountiful harvests & attaining their wishes. These stone Jang - Seung & Sot - Tae are reconstructed in traditional figures of the south - western part of korea during the 17 - 18th centuries. After the representative prayers & the stewards with villager's band perform the village ritual. so-called Daedong - Je for the well - being & a good harvest , all participants enjoy sharing the sacrificial food & they enjoy dancing together in front of the Jang - Seung & Sot - Tae shrines on the days of the first full moon night of January & the first of october yearly.

船/渡船 【 Narootbae - Ferryboat ] is operated to cross a river & it was used in a multifunctional way to deliver goods, catch fish & transport passengers in the past , it is operated mainly by a sail using wind.
